Responsibilities
• Establishing the technical and superficial needs of the client and suggesting appropriate materials.
• Explaining technical information to customers in a way that is easily understood.
• Maintaining and following up on quotes and sales with customers in addition to resolving any issues that may arise.
• Keeping customers informed of new products and offering comparisons between competing options.
• Demonstrated ability to meet sales goals.
• Updating records of customer communications and contact information.

Requirements

Preferred but not Required

  • Sales or marketing experience

  • Bilingual

  • Ability to read construction blueprints

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Proficient in Office 365

  • Proven ability to identify and follow up on leads

  • Knowledge of sales promotion techniques

  • Driver’s License

Merkley Supply, Eastern Ontario’s oldest and most comprehensive masonry supplier, is looking for experienced sales professionals to join our team.
We are searching for a driven sales representative to join our dynamic team. The sales rep should have a background in construction and construction products. Your responsibilities will include establishing the needs of the customer and offering options to meet those needs. To be a successful sales rep, you should be able to develop an excellent rapport with existing customers and source new clients. This position is on-site at Merkley Supply.
